This is similar to my previous list but I've swapped wood elves for GC. The reason why I posted this so late is that I didn't want General Elessar to see it as I'm using it as a surprise army for him. (right now he should be on the train to my house he, he.. .) I'll be using it tommorow. And I'll be sure to get the results for you.

Here it is:

Rivendell:

Heroes:
150pts. Elladan and Elrohir with heavy armour

Warriors:
190pts. 19 high elf warriors with shields and heavy armour
110pts. 10 high elf warriors with elf bows and heavy armour
44pts. High elf warrior with banner

Wizards:

Hero:
150pts. Saruman the White

Grey Company:

Heroes:
150pts. 6 Dunedain

Warriors:
207pts. 23 rangers with spears

Total: 1,001 pts. 60 models 39 bows (and legal!) 15 might (!)

Similar tactics as last time, slowly moving forward with rangers behind elves shooting until combat where twins will rush forward and rangers will use spears. Some rangers and a Dunedain will go behind the group of elf archers and will (hopefully) stop anyone getting behind my formation.

Suggestions?

Looks like a nice strong list. Do you have any inkling as to what army he is using?

what type of match are you doing?

the only problem (well more like the only thing you lack) is lack of mobility... but having so many bows should make up for that

same question, any idea of the army your facing?

I've finished it now. I was playing against a goblin and mordor alliance. He had Durburz, the witch king, a moria goblin drum and.... 138 goblins. Yes, 138 of them. But for some reason we got bored really quickly which rarely happens (maybe because his moving took half the time) so we didn't finish it but I think I would have won.
