I am going to take a next step in this hobby by trying out the actual game. After only been doing this as a painting and collecting hobby, I recently found someone to try it out. :)
I still have to learn to rules,(I know the basics) and it will be a friendly standard? game:
With the models I like to paint and have available I came up with this list:

Warband 1 12/12
Celeborn with Heavy armour; Shield (does he need an elven blade or is he considerd having a hand weapon? );
3 Wood Elf Warrior with Wood Elf spear;
1 Galadhrim Warrior with Banner;
4 Galadhrim Warrior with Shield; Spear;
4 Guard of the Galadhrim Court

Warband 2 12/12
Legolas with Armour
10 Wood Elf Warrior with Elf bow
2 Wood Elf Sentinel

Warband 3 11/12
Rúmil
6 Wood Elf Warrior with Throwing daggers WE spear;
5 Wood Elf Warrior with Throwing daggers

38 units, 700 pts exactly (I think)

I would like to know if this list is any good ( it does not have to be super competitive, just for a nice learning game) I will face a Mordor army, so what would be my main weaknesses or tactics to use?

Without trying to optimise your list for what you've already described as your first, and a friendly game I see no glaring flaws which are going to cause you huge problems.

I think perhaps the banner is just one more thing to remember, but there's no harm in taking it if you think you'll remember your banner re-rolls. Otherwise you could drop it in favour of another Sentinel (if you have the model: i think they're the same points?) or a guard of the galadhrim court and Celeborn's elven blade.

All models in the game are considered to have a hand weapon unless the profile explicitly states that they are "unarmed". So you definitely don't need to give him an elven blade if you don't want to.

As far as tactics are concerned, against Mordor you're probably going to find yourself outnumbered, or against some big horrible monsters (or both!). Do whatever you can to shoot down mounted ring wraiths before they get to you, use Celeborn's immobilise if you can, and be free with his will if you're facing ring wraiths, as you'll probably find your opponent sapping your will.

Legolas is best out of combat, and shooting. Use his Might to manoeuvre with heroic marches if you find his war band in a useless position. Use his special rule to take out priority targets if they're particularly threatening, or just be happy to plink 3 shots a turn if your goal is to break the enemy.

By the look of your list you've already got a fair idea of tactics- support using spears to get those extra attacks. Try and meet the battle lines with your flanks protected by scenery to prevent your opponent outflanking you. If he has cavalry try to shoot the steeds out from under him before he gets to you. Remember you can use your Wood Elf spears to shield if you're in trouble or outnumbered in a fight- they can prove very useful for holding up the battle line while your superior heroes cut through his troops.

If your hero looks like he's going to win a fight consider using "heroic combat" so that you can get him in to a second bout of combat, and potentially help out with a tricky fight against a monster for example, or just charge multiple troops if, again, you're trying to break the enemy.

Generally, be aware of the win conditions AND the "game end" conditions, and take the time to consider them each turn. Plenty of people (myself included) have lost a game because the red mist descended, and they forgot to be mindful of the actual scenario conditions! Reducing your opponent to 25% of his starting strength is cool and all, but not if he's beating you on Victory Points!

Let us know how you got on. How about writing a battle report!? :D

If I recall correctly, Celeborn is considered unarmed,so yes, he'd need this elven blade. But I must say that I don't like him very much.
I know he can cast spells,but in most games at this point level he just can't afford it, due to the fact that he must save his Will points in order to protect himself from enemy mages. Same situation as Elrond basically. Other than that he's a pretty good fighter, but Rumill does that job probably just as go od with pike support, maybe even better.
Soi 'd get rid of.him honestly, and probably include Galadriel (much better wizard) in his place. Or Thranduil- Wood elves has soo many great named heroes! Unfortunately, I don't think Celeborn is as good as the rest, at least when we talk about their power - he's very very fluffy though.

You can try this list, but pay atention on, what effect the throwing daggers used by the wood elfs with spear have. I think they mostly won't be able to use them, because you are not allowed to throw into combats (this means if you throw on a evil model during the move of one of yur elves (and attack it after you failed to wound) you aren't allowed to throw daggers at this model anymore. But they can be useful combined with Rumils might points using heroic marches and movements and throwing in the shout phase.
Just think about it and maybe make notes, what you could have done better to remember it in the next game.

Apologies Mertaal but you're incorrect on Celeborn. He is specified as "unarmed" so you must give him the Elven blade to avoid the penalty.
My only critiques of the list is the Guard of the Galadrhim Court can only directly support one unit or another Guard (to make the support 2 deep) you cannot first support with any of your spear armed models and then tack on the Pike armed model. So IMO the 3 WE with WE spear are basically useless in that warband. Personally I'd exchange them for Galadrhim w/o spear so you can have a well armored front without wasting your spears by having them be the front rank

Ah that is good to know, an elf blade to add then. But have the rules for pikes changed ? I knew the rules a bit that where used during BGIME , and from what I remember pikes could support first and second line on spears and pikes.
before the game we while take a look through the hobbit book, I guess that one has all up-to date rules.

Yes unfortunately the Pike rules no longer allow the "spear sandwich" in the middle rank. This changed with the Hobbit
