And opinion or two on this 650pt Mordor list?
I feel as if I need more trackers, but I can't decide what needs to go...

4 Orc Tracker
4 Morgul Knight
1 Morgul Knight with Banner;
----
Warband 2 12/12
Shagrat, War Leader of Cirith Ungol
4 Morannon Orc with Shield; Spear;
8 Morannon Orc with Shield;
----
Warband 3 12/12
Mordor Orc Taskmaster
4 Morannon Orc with Shield; Spear;
8 Morannon Orc with Shield;
----
Warband 4 0/12

Typical list, no need for changes. I an not sure about this taskmaster though. If finealy he is gonna help at all. For this kind of army, I would try to fit a shade inside the list, makes a good difference in close combat. Or even a banner, it is the only way to be useful in mordor, that otherwise has so many choices.

I think there are a few things to change:
1. Don't play a 1 model warband, at least not, if this model is the shaman. Give him some models in his warband.
2. Morgul knights should have a mounted leader, who is fast enough to attack with them and then may call a heroic action. You may could take a mounted orc captain instead of the taskmaster, or make some points free for a marshall of the black numenorean.
3. 4 orc trackers won't do anything. I'm not sure 10 will. Even 20 will have problems in a shootout against elves. I'd field non of them.
4. If you play the ringwraith with three extra will, why not take the witchking? Then you are able to give him the third point of might (it's worth 5 points) and get a spell for free, which sometimes is really usefull. Sap will, broke his wand and look, what Gandalf/Saruman/Radaghast will do the rest of the game.

Personally, I would drop the taskmaster, and have the shaman lead that war band, drop the trackers and use the extra points to put the ring wraith on a Fell Beast, because Fell Beasts rock the socks. As the above poster said, the Witch King is worth taking instead of spending extra points on a generics' stats.

I would be concerned that you're a bit low on numbers for 650pts, and drop the banner in favour of more troops.

I like your list. I think the Taskmaster is worth it. If anyone has used one they fall in love with all the free heroics. In my game, last Wednesday, my Taskmaster and Golden King were able to use 10 points of might during the game (as opposed to the 4 they come with). Well worth their points.
My advice would be to shift a few troops to the Shaman, so he's not alone. Either mount the Wraith to ride with your Knights, or be prepared to keep them behind your infantry lines until they clash with the enemy.
I wouldn't worry about you numbers as you have strong heroes and all of your troops are in essence elites.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I think I'm pretty happy with keeping the Taskmaster in -
a) I've never used him before
b) Paired with Shagrat, War Leader and his knockdown ability, the possibility of having a lot of heroic charges is too good to pass up, and the possibility of a free channeled fury ^_^

The Shaman was by himself as there was no points left to allocate troops, but I moved some to his warband - even though he was just going to be moving with the main bulk of the force - but I've moved him across.

The Morgul Knights - I plan to use them as flank troops, while the Morannons clash with the main bulk.

The WitchKing I've mounted for a better vantage point to spam spells (Good advice taking him, rather than a generic wraith with some extra stuff).

Taken out the trackers, as Frerin said - they probably won't do squat.

HOWEVER - I do wonder if it'd be worth dropping the Morgul knights, and bringing in a troll drummer, for the extra movement, and some more front line fire power.

Thoughts??

Ah you're the guys who posted on the Australian Lord of the Rings SBG Community. If you're in Vic you should come to War of Melton Shire this weekend.

I have two possible suggestions. First one is to get your spear to shield ratio 1:1. And second is to swap out the Witch King for another named wraith such as the Dark Marshal or Dwimmerlaik for support, Undying for spellcasting etc.

I don't rate Morguls so I'd take the troll. Having a monster + the Witch King is devastating as his transfix will hold high powered enemies in place for the troll to smash.

Also you will get a pinwheel of advice on which Ringwraith to take. So if you like the Witch King stick with him, if not then switch because each one (save the tainted) has their advantages
