Hey guys,

I am looking to build a small Gondor force around my current favourite hero, Boromir. I am doing this as because I want to build a small LOTR force before I move onto Warhammer and Warhammer 40k miniatures as I am more involved in the painting aspect of the hobby, so a small Gondor force, led by Boromir is what I am looking for.

I don't mind how much points it would cost in SGB and you are free to add in allies if you wish. But I want no more than 20 models.

I am not sure if this is in the right place, feel free to correct me.

If you want low model count, with models that you wanna lavish more attention on, I would have though either 2 things:

Boromir and an honour guard of Fountain Court Guard or Citadel Guard.
OR
Boromir and Faramir forces after the victory at Osgiliath (more variety here, as you could include Osgiliath Vets, normal Warriors, Rangers and of course Faramir and maybe even Denethor, if you wanted to recreate the Osgiliath scene from the Return of the King movie)

Sounds good. Thanks for the help! I will browse eBay for cheap figures today and see if I can build an 'army' in my watch list. :)

How about an all cavalry list? Something like Boromir on horse and thirteen Knights of Minas Tirith (one with a banner). This could resemble either a raiding party, or Boromir and his guard on the journey to Rivendell.

Sounds good, I love cavalry models, there is something about that really just strikes me.

I will be doing this if I can collect the Boromir model I want. If not I will continue buying singular figures, e.g Frodo and I will put them in my W.I.P thread (which needs bumped). :)

Boromir, captain of the white tower with banner of minas tirith and horse (guess he can have that)
A lot of minas tirith knights?

I failed the get the Boromir I wanted and I have bought other figures instead, thanks for the help but this thread is kindof useless now and can be locked.

Thanks for your contribution anyway GoblinTacticus.
