Anyway I too am trying a similar allignment with my soldiers and would like to see this thread develop.
So here goes, why do you have the dwarf king and gimli by themselves? It would help you if you dropped them and take some more galadhrim with another hero leading. Perhaps rumil? (it kind of kills me to see a force with elves having so few elf bows:) ) if you are going to buy something maybe dwarf rangers? To replace the warriors w/bows
If you don't want to buy the models I get that but I would replace the two with Aragon/boromir/ gandalf. The latter seems the best to me so you have magical support.

Why do you need Gimli and the Dwarf King? Why not drop one and get more Warriors?

Depends on what you want to do with the army. I'de say get saruman because you don't need anymore might in your front row. But having some cav could be useful.

For me i'de say rumil+5gotgc+a couple more wood elves with bows
Or rumil+4galadhrim knights with shields
But if you want to use the galadhrim cpt, swap in one of the helmet less heads from the galadhrim box onto the model and call him haldir because he is of much better value.
If you take saruman you will have to play very defensively but with the extra galadhrim you have more models and flexibility. Both have advantages and disadvantages but personally I'de take he extra warriors as you are going to be severely out numbered.

rumil seems pretty good i'll try to buy him some time but im not really sure so i haven't put him in the warband

What is the points?
Rumil is great, he has been the star player in many of my games.
Make a shield wall use your heroes to smack some faces, and have saruman make trouble. Can't think of any more army building advice though.
Let us know how the army works in battle!

Why do you think you'll need the Vault Wardens? If they are to be effective they need to be more than two teams. I feel like you can invest these points somewhere else like adding some Dwarves with shields. I'd also drop the Ranger with the Two Handed for more core infantry.

hmm... i suppose:
Saruman blasts people and transfixes heroes.
balin whacks orcs and heroes with his axe; the king helps.
the vault wardens provide a solid center
the dwarf warriors protect the vault wardens' sides and make a larger front
the spear elves help the wardens and fend off attacks on the extended flanks
the archers shoot up anyone that tries to outflank and take out enemy archers
legolas takes out fell beasts and does his autohit trick


so it largley depends on an unbreakable front and no heavy enemy cavalry to outflank me

Seems like it, but what I meant was let us know how the game goes that you actually use it in.

About heavy cav outflanking you, I'de say use the king and the dwarf archers to slow them down. The only heavy cav that evil has is mogul knights, so maybe using high courage elves would work better.

I count 20 Dwarves and 8 spears. My limited experience with Dwarves is butchering the spearless ones, because they cannot win fights. Two expensive army types + wizard equals very low numbers for 750. Minis Tirith is so inexpensive on EBay...a quick Beregond (or Damrod) conversion and you've got the cheapest 12 spear WB in the game (though 4 Rangers with spears are well worth putting in). If you would consider losing the wizard, vaults, two handed axes, here is a 52 model suggestion:

Balin w/axe
12 dwarves w/ shield
Dwarf King (or Floi)
12 Khazad Guard
Beregond Mounted
8 MT spears
4 rangers w/ spears
Legolas Mounted (or Cloak; one or the other to avoid Nazguls)
8 Galadhrim Spear & Shield
4 Wood Elves w/ Spear

26 Dwarves, 24 spears, 2 horses for Reconoiter, 8 excellent bows (add Dwarf bows if needed), 2 major fighty heros, and those 12 Khazad Guards are the toughest Good foot soldiers in the game for their points (imho). I realize you wanted to work wih what you have....but conversions are possible.
