This army represents a High Elf army of the 2nd age.
Warband 1:281
Hero:
Gil-Galad with Shield
Warriors:
8 Kings Guard
4x Spear and Shield
4x Elven Blade
4 High Elves wth Elf Bows
Warband 2:218
Hero:
Cirdan of the Havens
Warriors:
12 High Elves
4x Elven Blade
4x Spear and Shield
4x Elf Bow
I know the Kings guard are kinda unnecessary, but I had excess points.
(unusual for High Elves)
I'm sure you guys can come up with a better use of the points, but that's that.
Thanks
Ithillien

Hmm that army looks well constructed from my point of view! I might suggest though that you should cut down Cirdan (and some guards if neccerarilly) and use a captain because your list wont really be able to handle heavy stuff (trolls,catapults,etc..) on the Cirdan part so the captain might help.

I rememer 1 year ago my friend used 2 trolls against my cirdan with 12 elves (4 bows ,4 spears, 4swords) and my cirdan got smashed. I still have nightmares about that

Yep. I think it looks fine, though I think you be better off with more shield+spear and fewer blades.

I agree with whafrog
making army more supportive in battle to eachothers :)
Also better to support Gil galad spearheading attacks.
and if you get problems taking on trolls, just try to get elrond maybe. least both groups get a solid leader to take on those brutes

I would drop cirdan for a stormcaller or maybe erestor. Elrond is just too expensive to use in 500pts - especially when you already have Gil galad.

Gil Galad is only able to handle 1troll at a time so by the time hes done with the 1st troll Cirdan will probably get smashed by another. But then again maybe Im wrong.

High elves can be a tricky army to build due to their low numbers. The difficulty is in investing enough pts in heroes to provide mights points and hold the force together (elves have great courage but it's still easier to have a heroes stand fast keep them in the game) while at the same time having enough warriors to form a fighting line.

Your list looks pretty good, personally I'd consider swapping Cirdan for Erestor (assuming he was around in the time your planning to play) that said its your army so go with the heroes you want most.

Aside from that I'd consider fewer blades and more shields (I generally use a double line of spears and shields, am wasting pts on those spears but its a pain converting high elves with just shields).
A banner is also very worth the investment, used to be quite expensive for elves but they've dropped its cost down, for just over two elves it can mean that your front line is solid, that re-roll is golden with an elf's fight value. On that subject King's guard isn't exactly useless, should mean that some of your warriors are up to holding off or beating certain evil units cave trolls for example.

Hope this is useful, may the valar watch over you.
