What do you think of my Isengard army list: Isengard Army: 750 points, 43 warriors, 5 heroes, break point: 22 dead Warband 1: Uruk Captain + H.A., Shield: Wounds: I I Might: I I Will: I Fate: I 60 points 3x Uruk Warrior + Shield 30 points 8x Uruk Warrior + Pike 80 points Uruk Warrior + Banner 34 points + 194 points Warband 1: Uruk Captain + H.A., shield: Wounds: I I Might: I I Will: I Fate: I 60 points 3x Uruk Warrior + Shield 30 points 8x Uruk Warrior + Pike 80 points + 160 points Warband 3: Uruk Captain + H.A., 2HW: Wounds: I I Might: I I Will: I Fate: I 60 points 5x Uruk Scout + Orc Bow 45 points 6x Uruk Berserker 90 points + 195 points Warband 4: Harad Captain + Horse: Wounds: I I Might: I I Will: I Fate: I 55 points 5x Harad Raider 55 points + 115 points Warband 5: Harad Captain: Wounds: I I Might: I I Will: I Fate: I 45 points 4x Black Numenorean Warrior 36 points + 81 points + Total 754 points It's not meant to be super-competitive, just to have a nice theme together with a playable force. The explanation for the Harad warriors is as follows: The Raiders represent the Dunlending Horsemen I converted up for WotR, and the Black Numenoreans are to be the "Guards of Orthanc", Saruman's personal guard of Dunlending warriors equipped and trained far better then their companions who are not chosen for the guard. So I needed a profile that represents a man, in heavy armour with a shield, and who is terrifying. BN's were a perfect fit. |

If you're going to take some scouts, Ugluk, Mauhur or Vrasku bring more to the table than a basic Uruk captain...though there is nothing wrong with leading legion troops with a basic captain, they're pretty tough. |

The problem is, I don't have their stats... And a captain with twohander can also be rather though to deal with. Thanks anyway! |

It's actually his shield that makes him though, taking him with a 2h weapon is really not a good idea. Alltough with the new support/2h rule and heroic strike, who knows? |

Whenever I play against uruk hai, I (my elves) manage to shoot up most of the approaching troops before they get into combat. Earlier today however, the dice simply weren't rolling for me so I natures wrathed them with elrond and then charged everything I had into the gaps that formed to break up the phalanx. It was a massacre from then onwards, and so just a warning to keep your phalanxes away from natures wrath casters |

He never kills more then 2-3 Uruks (with 8-9 elves and 2 turns of shooting on average), and nearly every game he Nature's Wrath's my entire army to the ground, only to fluff all his rolls. Poor lad. |

Poor lad. I had this in a game with my son: 3 turns of Nature's Wrath, a whole squad of Morannons flopping around like fish on a beach, and not a single kill. But I was killing everywhere else on the board where I shouldn't (like a Son of Eorl dispatching a Shade in one turn), so in the end it was a close game |

That sounds familiar. If you lopside a fight, the one who's at a disadvantage wins. Always. I've even had one model (Balin) carve though a captain (with might to win the fight), a troll (to dish out the pain) and 8 Uruks including spears (to add dice) with ease. And then he fluffed his broken roll (with courage 6) and ran off. |
