My mate likes to use radagst the brown in his dwarfen army. As he likes the idea, should this be aloud as he's not really a fighter and he's never been seen fighting with the dwarfs. (Don't count the hobbit as we play war of the ring) |

I see no reason why he couldn't be used as an ally? But if you are a fan of single army list purist armies then no. |

Radagast love nature and it seems a bit obssesed about it (in the books he lefts it's very first porpouse to be in contact to nature only, being Gandalf the only Istari finishing his job), so he could be allied with dwarves if that could be related to nature. For example, I could see Radagast helping Balin to return to Moria after the Hobbit because could be problems with orcs and goblins in the forest near the Moria doors. I think could be themed if you find a good reason for Not sure about alliances in war of the ring because I play Strategic Battle Games. Good luck! |

With enough effort, you can come up with a thematic reason for any two characters/armies to be helping each other. Radagast could be concerned with the detrimental effects the enemy's marauding army is having on the environment, and so has allied with the dwarves to take him down. (This argument works for every army except elves, as they're also all peace-loving guys) |

Any good hero or formation can legally be used in a good army as an ally, as long as it doesn't break the Decree of Allies. Thematically you may have a small issue with Radagast aiding the Dwarves, but as another poster above said it's easy enough to come up with a reason and some fluff. But it's perfectly legal in game terms Also consider the game beyond the movies... You are taking a spellcaster (Gandalf) with Gondor, why shouldn't the Dwarves have some magical help? |
