The unit currently with Azog can be switched around but my idea is two fold.
Hit hard with bow numbers, hit hard with cavalry, hit hard with heroes, horn should keep things going making my heroics C5 or C6.

Really looking at doing something with hobbit evil which I am confident doing with elves and dol amroth. Just not sure about the composition. Some of you have played against my Goblin Town and know what a joy it is to play against these fine (yet squishy) models so I thought it was time to expand.... and then when the battle of five armies happens I am ready.

Azog with The white warg;
10 Hunter Orc with Orc bow
2 Fell Warg

Fimbul with Fell warg
10 Hunter Orc with Fell warg
2 Fell Warg

Yazneg with Lance; Fell warg
10 Hunter Orc with Fell warg
2 Fell Warg

Narzug
11 Hunter Orc with Orc bow
1 Hunter Orc with Orc bow; War horn;


52 models but the 20 can spawn 20 more.

I think the problem with a pure azog hunters list is that there venerable to archery. Without a shaman my elves could whittle down a fair few of our dues before they can get there 2 attacks into combat. I think putting in an orc shaman along with 12 orc spearmen might be a good idea.

Except most missions I can start on top of your bows if that is an issue. I will only use my bows on reconoitre and take and hold... or if you have no bows.

It doesn't stop the fact that it's a 52 model force with def 4 all the way through. Even if you increase the model count by dismounting the wrags still only have courage 3 and will probably run.

Courage 3 means you will probably not run... C3 gives a 58% chance of not running.
So 58% of 20 mounted models leaves around 12 fellwargs.... assuming the opposition only rolls 1 wound.

But yeah the mode count is low.

It is low but has a high impact rate. Win a fight I'll likely cause a wound especially vs the ferals, elves, harad, goblins... etc, just not vs the dwarves n fountain courts.... they hurt

66 models, 12 might, shaman can give fury where needed because he's on a wrag, Orc spear-men can give 3 attacks to hunter orc archers or front line of dismounted dudes. Gollum can match and even beat captain level heroes as can the hunter orc captian.

Both poor shooting and no magic seems reckless at 1k points. Nonetheless you have such an amazing attack potential that it actually may work. I would be glad to encounter this army.

I would dump the bows as they simply aren't worth it due to low power, low range and low chance of hitting. Charge in with that lot and hit hard!

I would point out that magic is not essential at any points value. Infact I have won a tournament with 0 magic. It takes skill but actually is easy to do because if you cant do it hten you have to think about it twice as much.

Blackie, my concern with your list is that by removing azog you lose punch a lot of punch. He is a monster worthy of Glorfindel's undivided attention. Something I feel is quite useful but the advanced numbers is nice.

I intend to make this work over the next 3 months so once I have all the models I'll try out some variations and see what I can figure.
All foot might be even better....

you can win without magic, but this list isn't strong, hunter orcs on fell wargs are weak and the bows either, heroes are still worth up in a warg, but the wariors aren't.
if you would drop all those fell wargs you could fit in another warband or a warband like that shaman warband.

The heroes on wargs should leads a bunch of plain fell wargs.

I don't think magic is mandatory either but with weak shooting and no magic you can't dictate the battle and will be constantly reacting to your opponent. It won't be easy to win that way.

4 of the 6 missions start with you at shield wall range. With this much mounted I dictate a lot and basically my might is for heroic moves and epic strikes. Only saucepan blast and monsters really bother this force and Saruman has decreased in usage over the year of the hobbit.

Vs bows I can be on them before they get a second turn of shooting at me.

I agree with the comments about weakness of hunters on fellwargs but to really hit (ie do what this list is meant to) then you have to have cavalry not 2 attack infantry.
Maybe a combo of some mounted and some wargs with the mounted heroes and then foot dudes to go with the spears.

77 models, plenty of kick, some bows in case of those moments
It still has 26 speedy models for recon and hold ground etc, but also has shaman and numbers.

Shade is amazing and is a distraction for casters. If they are targetting the shade they are ignoring the warg riders.

Smeh, those people are not good at the game.
I play vs Sam "Shade" Jeffreys as one of my main opponents. There are ways and hows to smash a shade army. Double shade is v.difficult but single shade is easy to beat at most missions. Only lords of battle/to the death really give the shade it's chance to shine.
