I have been wanting to start a Fiefdoms army for a while.
I am starting to get into it now and wanna try them a Little first so this is a list where I ally them to my grey Company that I also love using.

3 x Rangers of the North with horse

Arathorn
6x Rangers of Arnor
6x Rangers of Arnor with spear

Forlong
2x Swan Knights
3x Axemen
3x Clansmen

Angbor
2x Swan Knights
2x Axemen
3x Clansmen

The idea is to use shielding with the Knights and then use the axemen to support the clansmen who will strike twohanded and feint, with Angbor the axemen can then use the reroll to win.
The Rangers will be sent in to combat as the lines come together.
What say you?

Its a good list but the axemen will not be granted the re-roll from Angbor its the clansmen that gain the benefit, if they are going to use two-handed they will not be winning many fights.

To make a better list why not try to use swan knights supported by dol amroth pikemen. They should be winning most Duels and also get the re-roll to the fight if Imrahil is within 12". To help with the killing add some Clansmen with their two-handed weapons and feinting.

Thanks for the reply.
About the banner reroll, I resoned like you but in a discussion during the lord of the rings rules the general consensus was that since the rules states that if a model is under the effect of a banner the whole fight is considerd being in range of a banner. The clansmen is under the effect of a banner and becasue of that the whole fight Counts as being in the range of a banner and any model in a fight affected by a banner can use the reroll.

About the army, I had to choose between two small warbands with Angbor and Forlong or one bigger with Imrahill and Pikemen. Since I really want clansmen i choose two small.

What say people about Duinhir today, is he Worth it with all the monsters running around.

Ah I see your point about the banner, I had not thought of it that way.

As for Duinhir, I think he is very good if you are against evil and they have lots of monsters, which does seem to be the case as of late. He is perfect leader for a warband of Blackroot archers. They should be killing at least one whole moster a turn.
