In the Return of the King rulebook, there are a few scenarios where Dwarves and Men of Rhovian (at the time using Rohhirim as stand ins) fight together in and around the Lonely Mountain. Not sure, since it has been years, if the men of Rhovian are considered Men of Lake Town troops or Men of Dale troops, or just don't have infantry. Also, as a contingent to support my Dwarves, I was thinking of either of those two, and was wondering which was better. Like the blue and more troop variety of Lake Town, but Dale was a grander kingdom and come in packs of 12 as opposed to 3. Which of these would you choose? |

There are not any models or stats for Rhovian, but Lake-town/Dale are good proxies. I'd recommend Dale box sets, much better cost. And if you prefer the blue just paint them up as that |

I know there were some changers to weapons between the two. Lake town can't have shield, which is pretty bad with only armor and an average shoot value. If they can take two-handed weapons its really a waist, their defense is to low to risk the -1 from going two-handed and if you allied dwarfs well then you'll have better options anyhow. If it matters fluff wise you would have to decide when your dwarven army has be mustered, before or after Dale got roasted. If before then Dale, if after then Lake Town or the beornings, if they make models. If you don't really care about it then I'd go with Dale since they are cheaper to get and are a more versatile light infantry. |

Actually if after TBOFA then Dale would be the more appropriate option as they grew strong again |
