I own six of these things can anyone explain how to put them in an army and use them to the biggest benefit?

I seem to recognize a certain bit from that lol.

My advice is to get 2 more (1 more team) you dont want an uneven amount and as such make it easy to pick a flank. Also 4 teams is wide enough so that it's hard to wrap around them

Dont get me wrong I read it before and enjoyed it, but that doesnt really give me Vault Warden tactics.


Excuse me I meant to say 6 Vault Warden teams of 12 men. Er....dwarves lol.

6 teams is plenty enough. I find them most useful to defend against cavalry charges or to bog down a hero so that they cant call a Heroic Fight. In the case of the cavalry, even with the extra attack and knock to the ground, they will still have a hard time getting the roll necessary to kill them. Most other Dwarves cant stand up to that kind of attack and arent mobile enough to avoid a charge. Since you cant avoid it, you might as well send your mightiest wall to withstand it.

In the case of Heroes, Heroic Fight requires that the Hero kill all combatants in order to move again. A simple Vault warden can prevent this since they are so hard to kill.

Other more basic functions are to guard flanks or create a hammer and Anvil manuever.

Alright that sounds good thank you. I like the idea of holding off the heroes and cavalry. Good thought pattern there.
