Is Thranduil's upgrade worth the extra point(s).(Obviously only for bowmen and possibly people with throwing daggers).Or will this extra expenditure of points reduce my model count TOO much?
Thanks

I'd say with the new rules on shooting no. Before they probably were and still may be on some scenarios.

At 500 points. I guess thats alot of extra points. And /3 shoot value is pretty good without a upgrade.

If you have a couple of spare points at the end then go for it, don't go into the army list making process with the upgrade as an objective.

I used it once. The difference was negligible

The upgrade no longer exists :)

Since new profiles replace older profiles you can no longer use the old Thranduil profile. Although the differences are limited, the special rule is one of them. So 2+ Mirkwood Guard are no longer possible.

Although in a friendly game you could opt to take them anyway. In that case I'd say 2 points is too much. The amount of shooting in a game is just discreased way too much. Although that I must say that in the new scenario 'Sieze the price' 12 2+ shooting Mirkwoods is quite scary!

You can use the old Thranduil profile. They are in separate army lists and so the existence of one profile does not override the other.
