This is my first post here, so be nice, pleace I bought the Goblin-Town-Box and thought about what to do with the Goblin Miniatures. Because I have a few Goblins left from the old Moria Box, I wanted to mix them up and her is the result: Moria ---- Warband 1 12/12 Durbûrz, the Goblin King of Moria 5 Moria Goblin Warrior with Shield 5 Moria Goblin Warrior with Spear 2 Moria Goblin Prowler with Two-handed weapon ---- Warband 2 12/12 Moria Goblin Shaman 5 Moria Goblin Warrior with Shield 5 Moria Goblin Warrior with Spear 2 Moria Goblin Prowler with Two-handed weapon ---- Goblin Town ---- Warband 1 12/12 The Goblin King 5 Goblin Warrior with Two-handed axe 7 Goblin Warrior ---- Warband 2 10/12 The Goblin Scribe 10 Goblin Warrior ---- Total Points: 500 Total Units: 50 We are playing with the old LOME unit limits so 50 is the maximum, if playing 500 Points. I restarted the Hobbit and there are just a few players living near by, so I habe neraly no fight experience. I want to play a Monster, thats why I took the Goblin King. I am imagine playing the Goblin Scribe could be really funny, but because of the much Units with low defense I could easily be broken, so there are Durburz and the Shaman to protect everybody (expect the Goblin King and Scribe :/ ) from running away. I hope my English isn't to bad and you have plenty things to say about this list. |

Seems quite competitive! Speed will be always a problem, otherwise excellent imo! |

Yeah there's not much to add really, and make sure you remember that your armies original break point is the same even with scribe's reinforcements so after 25 deaths you will be broken so don't throw away those reinforcement goblins. |

Thats why the Goblin Scribe isn't totaly overpowered. As I said I am conting on Durburz and the Shamane to keep my goblins on the field, but everbody knows, how easy you can break this combination. Would you spend the Might Point, to do a chanalized Fury? In this case I would spent 2 Will points, to be sure, but if I do so, I have no chance to cast it one more time. But for all that, I think the Goblin Scribe really makes the Army goblinlike. Some of them are too slow, or too stupid to be in the right place at the right time and one by one they appeare on the field from north, east, south and west because they got lost searching the battle. And if the scenario dice shows 2 (I don't know the English name of the scenario, which's goal is to send troops over the foe's edge) I allready won. |
