Here are my latest attempts at an Isengard force after having my question about heroes answered by the GBHL guys in the last Q&A.

List 1: 350 Points
Waband 1
Capain w/ Heavy Armour and Shield
6x Uruks w/ Pike
6x Uruks w/ Shield

Warband 2
Shaman w/ armour
4x Berserkers
5x Uruk w/ Crossbow
-----

List 2: 500 points
Waband 1
Capain w/ Heavy Armour and Shield
6x Uruks w/ Pike
6x Uruks w/ Shield

Warband 2
Shaman w/ Armour
6 Bersekers
3 Scouts w/ Shield

Warband 3
Vrasku
8x Uruks w/ Crossbow

The scouts are only in place becuase they perfectly fill the points in list 2 and will provide extra support for the Berserkers, allowing them to use 2 handed attacks. I prefer Berserkers to Ferals becuase i have the miniatures and don't fancy dropping £30 for 3 of them.

Any advice is handy, plus any hints on how/ when Saruman can become useful?

Solid list. Will hurt for sure.

Try Saruman only in bigger armies he costs but he is a beast. Also consider Sharky as a very good one for this work. He is way cheaper and he can be a pain for enemy heroes!

Hey! I've been building up a little isengard army too. For 350 I would suggest going ferals and crossbows? Maybe even feral front line with pike support? that would be nasty but I feel like at 350 taking a super elite list like that would be hard to deal with. I always have a hard time deciding on heros for isengard, especially at lower points because they have so many good ones. Sharkey and worm, captain with shield, shaman and vrasku are all awesome.

I'm going to have to hunt down Sharkey and Worm because they look pretty damn good for the points, and i could always have worm get himslef killed so he isnt a threat to Sharkey.

I will try the list with Ferals at some point, but for now i lack ferals and will need to convert some. Thanks!

Yeah they're really good. You can probably just use the berserkers as proxies. I've painted my ferals with white hand tattoos 'n' all that jazz so they look pretty similar.

Berserkers wield two handed wep so they cant be supported by spears or pikes...

That's no longer true. 2 handers can be supported and all models also have hand weapons unless specifically stated. So Berserkers have hand weapons

Yeah what james said. Berserkers have hand weapons and even if they use their 2-handers they can still be backed up.
