throne of skulls wizards and elf twins

ok so this is my first post and i was just finalising my throne of skulls list ok this is what i havel.

leader: gandalf the white on shadowfax.

radagast the brown on sleigh with sebastian.

elladan and elrohir on horse with either elf bows or heavy armour.(i haven't decided yet)

Looks like a very fun list. It would be hard to win a lot, but you'd have a great time

I wouldn't take Radagast, on paper he looks good (because he usually is) and if you do keep him I'd drop his sleigh and replace it with a horse, the sleigh is expensive, big and low on defence

I'd either take Saruman, because his spells are better, Radagast's Renew really isn't as good as it looks in a force this small or drop the second wizard altogether and take that 200ish points and take Legolas on horse and Dwalin on pony or maybe Aragorn w/ armour and horse

I disagree on removing Radagast. On his sleigh he's an offensive juggernaut. And Renew is always worth it. I had Drar single handedly bring down the Balrog because I didn't waste his fate and Radagast kept healing him lol. Plus he can heal his mount.
If you really want to make the list effective keep him, drop Gandalf and add in Legolas mounted, and Boromir of Gondor mounted as Radagast makes his lack of fate immaterial.
So your force could look like this

Radagast the Brown w sleigh and Sebastian

Monkey Twins with horses, HA& Elf bows

Legolas mounted with armor and elf cloak

Boromir of Gondor mounted

Exactly 600 points.
Unless I calculated wrong you couldn't give the twins either upgrade you were considering (armor or bows) in your original list

well to counter the wizards being weak i would have each twin go with each wizard and if i come up against ed BOOM! panic steed and if the witch king is there send everyone but gandalf in and if he cracks radagasts staff strengthen will. oh and james r is five points really going to make a difference i mean you can have a few points leeway

In a tournament, when the five points difference is the cost of the upgrade, yes it is going to make a difference.
JamesR, wouldn't your list with Legolas go over the bow limit? Actually, wouldn't equipping both twins (half your army) go over the bow limit?

Actually it's not. Heroes don't count towards bow limit

True. I like having him on the sleigh as it's 2 more strikes on the knockdown

Yup bow limit is warriors only. and just to be clear, your final ToS list must be 600pts or under. There is no leeway in a tournament. The event team will make you change it

im glad you could learn something new gold man. i have decided on a different army the three hunters the elf twins with a lot of upgrades aragorn with anduril bow and armour the elf twins with bows legolas with elven cloak and gimli with no upgrade's
