Eagles 500pts + allies

Gwaihir
2 great Eagle

Warband 2
Tauriel
5 mirkwood elves with shield
6 mirkwood elves with glaive

Not sure if this is of any good...generally speaking even a full eagle army though...

If I wanted full eagle maybe Alfrid just to buff up gwaihir alot...

At 500 pts, You can expect many armies with 10-15 bows in it.
With your low defence, you would be broken in 2-3 turns of shooting, and dead in 4 probably.
The problem is your low model count combined with your defence 3 models. I think you should go all eagle, or take maybe 1 or 2

An idea for a good eagle army:
-radagast on great eagle
-3 eagles
-alfrid

There are no defense 3 models in his list.

I would give it a try. You will struggle against armies with many bows, but if he has to deploy one warband near the middle, call a heroic move in the first turn and you'll be in combat an the second and 3 eagles will be amazing!

Oh, you're right.

I saw the mirkwood elves for mirkwood rangers.
And you can certainly try this list, but it won't have much succes.
Just too few models and way too easy to ignore the eagles and kill off the rest of your army to win the game.
Against most enemies, this list will lose in just a few turns.

yea eagles are weird point wise to be made 500pts

Ideally would be;
gwaihir
3 eagles

radagast on eagle
3 eagles
