No only heroes without the independent symbol next to their names. |

Wan Shi Tong is right. Read pages 100-101 in the big AUJ Rulebook. It specifically states that only Heroes (not including Heroes with the Independent Hero symbol) can lead Warbands. So Thorin can lead a Warband, but Gollum cannot. Banner Bearers and Horn Blowers are usually not Heroes. |

A Hero with a banner (Halbarad, Boromir, Gamling) or a Warhorn (Durin, Erkenbrand) can lead a warband. But a common bannermen won't be able to: their are simple soldier after all. |
