Hi guys

I wanted to try and recreate the scene in The Return of the King - The Battle of Osgiliath (where the Orcs try to enter the city via the sea). What Orcs would be good to represent these? Also - does anyone know of a scenario that's already been written for this scene?

Hi, I had a look in some old sourcebooks. I found two scenarios from two different books. You may find these books online if you search

1. LOTR Jorneybook Two Towers, Scenario 12 Osgiliath (Page 62)
Evil: 2 Orc Captains, 6 Morgul Stalkers, 8 Orcs with Sheild, 8 Orcs with Spear, 4 Orcs with Bow, 4 Orcs with two-handed weapons, 2 Orcs with Banner.
Good: Faramir, Madril, Damrod, Captain of Minas Tirith, 6 Ranger of Gondor, 3 Osgiliath Vets with shield, 3 Osgiliath Vets with spear, Osgiliath Vets with bow, 1 Warrior of Minas Tirith with banner.

This book also has terrain making page for Osgiliath Ruins. The journey books are really good with lots of scenarios and photos.

2. LOTR The Return of the King - strategy battle game book, Scenario One - Skirmish in Osgiliath and Scenario Two - Rearguard
Good: 24 Warriors of Minas Tirith, 8 with sheilds, 8 with spear and shield and 8 with bow.

Evil: 24 Orcs., 8 with shield, 8 with spear, 4 with bow, 4 with two handed weapons.

Points wise I would imagine these are now out of date, so the other options is to choose a points value for the good side and give evil side a points value to equal or to three quarters (75%) of the good. i.e. 200 good vs 150 evil.
