The weird spear numbers are because this legion wants you to crowd the enemy. Troll drummer is the 2nd threat and a great way to speed my advance across the board.

No idea how good this bad boy will be though.

I think this would do alright at its points level. Not sure about all the two-handed weapons though. They seem like a liability to archers and most everything in combat especially without spears backing them up.

I'm keen to give them a go tbh. 6 pts per model for (with piercing strike) s4 +2 to wound potentially seems absolutely silly

Wait, you mean +1 to wound right? Two handed weapons are +1 to wound. Also, you looking at a model with -1 to win duels, dies on 4s to strength 3s in combat and 5s to both strength 2 and 3 bows. Force as cheap as they are it might not be much of a risk.

They die on 5s to S3. I think you meant S4.

+2 to wound if they outnumber the enemy in close combat as per the black gate opens legion rules. +1 for the 2 handed weapon +1 for outnumbering

I played against Easterlings yesterday. Pulled a narrow win. Killing Kataphrakts on 4s with Moranon orcs from outnumbering was god tier. The 2 handed bois were very killy as well. And annoyingly resilient

Isn't there still a -1 to defense if you lose a fight in which you used piecing strike? Making the orcs defense 3?

Either way that is a nasty special rule to be able to stack. I see why you were so keen on it.

Yeah, it's -d3 actually. But you only piercing strike against d6(common), d8+ (not common)or maybe against d4 if you REALLY want that dude dead and will risk all to turn a sure thing into a surer thing. Most d8+ things that aren't dwarfs will be wounding on threes already though I guess.
