Hey guys,

This is my first Rohan list (made predominantly with the contents of the Pelennor Fields starter set). My plan is to use the Riders of Theoden legion. For my 400 points list I'm considering the following:

Theoden
-Armoured Horse
-Heavy Armour
-Shield

7 Riders of Rohan
-1 w/ Banner
-2 w/ Throwing Spears

Dernhelm
-Throwing Spears

6 Riders of Rohan
-2 w/ Throwing Spears

Assuming I'm doing my math correctly that should leave me at 395 points. I've also purchased Eomer to add to the army list at 500 points. In terms of expanding the army for larger games (600 points, 700 points etc.) are there any heroes in particular that I should really look at getting? Would it be worthwhile to buy some Royal Guard to give the army a bit more punch in melee, or should I stick with Riders of Rohan to get more archery into the list(s)?

Gamling with banner is one you should seriously look at. Might is essential for a cav army and the banner allows for might regeneration each turn.
