At last I have finished painting the actual mini of the dead terminator, I have yet to make its base and then add one or two finishing touches when that is done but for now the mini is finished and can be put to one side,

I am hoping to get one of the 3D space hulk rooms that someone posted a link to on here to make into a display base but for now this project is finished and time to move onto a new one.

I'm stunned again mate! I already loved the way you painted the figure itself, but the back of the chair which I didn't know was detailed aswell is just amazing how you worked that out!
Always a pleasure to follow your WIPs !!
Once again captain Tidoco showed his quality! 8)

*Jaw drops, pushes back up with difficulty*

Wow! :D

Everything on the chair is terrifically done! :-D

Looking good as usual Tidoco. Two things stand out for me though: I would make the transition of the dirt on his tunic more gradual, as it seems a bit dark and concentrated to be believable for me.

Also I would make the cracks/notches on the figure brighter/more apparent. Not sure why but they just seem too faint.

Just my observations.

Points taken on the tabard before I actually did the staining I did a little bit of research, I dipped a clean hankerchief in a muddy puddle outside in the back yard and you know what there was no gradual transition just a horrible dirty stain so I can live with the look on a mini of this size as for the chips point taken and in fact they are darker in reality for some reason the image is a little washed out still this is as good as it is getting for now,
anyway, while I'm waiting for the basing materials for my last mini to arrive I thought I would get on and make a start on this, to be honest I've put this off for far too long and I still have another commission to do once this one is done, that will take alot more effort than this so I put this one as priority.

It is funny how just turning the mini around to tkae a different shot gives a whole different look to the colour as can be seen in the first two photos, but the colour is even all over the mini and the first picture gives the truest representation of the look.
The good thing about taking WIP shots is it helps me to see areas that needs more work like the top of the ear on the second photo.
Anyway hope you like it so far.

Try saying that sentence ten times fast! :-D

As previously mentioned Tim, the skin looks brilliant. How did you get so skilled at painting?? (Don't tell me... practice, right? :P )

Verrryyyy good, I can't wait to see how these guys turn out. I like the face of the one on the left, with the pirate hat--somehow he just stands out to me more. 8)

I did want to add some more weathering to the top too crates but time was against me on this one. I've already had them far too much longer than I should have but then that is trying to do this sort of thing around a job that involves you being away from home 95% of the time.
Hope you like it guys.

oh and by the way it is simply practice that makes a painter improve on his painting pure and simple.

I was sent this by Twighlight Miniatures to paint up and have started it today, I don't know a great deal about the fluff for these creatures, I had a quick look at their site and the minis painted by Ben Brownlie which were painted in a scheme that was very similar to the one I was going to use for this originally, not wanting to copy Ben's excellent work I plumped for this colour and so far it appears to be working quite well,

This is an excellent miniature and I will definitely be buying more of the range in the near future.
