I really like the 'glowy' effect around the gorgon's eyes.

Tim, since you joined the site your stuff just gets better and better and better. You are light years from where you were, I wish I could see the same sort of progress you've made...I seem to have plateaued. Keep up the amazing work my friend! :D

Nicely put BOTWT, thats what I was going to say :) Fantastic work on this model Tidoco, I love the way you paint faces, and this model as usual has so much character.

(Hope he's been too preoccupied with this one to realise the One Ring Awards are just around the corner  )

I love the skin tones on this model. The stubble looks great!
The red inside of the cloak is getting there! Reds are difficult to paint for pro's, you have managed to get a great colour and almost perfect texture! The only thing I can point out with it is the left inside of the cloak looks a little bright compared to the rest of it.

I really like the metallics! I generally think Metallic looks shabby and clogged but yours is amazing! I love what you have done on the chain mail and especially the armour plating. I cant wait to see the axe head when that is completed.

Good luck painting,

KJ Nromancer

The green on the cloak is just a basecoat and may yet get changed altogether.

I took a bit of a break from Kordius today, I bought this months White Dwarf magazine and of course the two free minis were on the front and I couldn't resist starting the Ork so here is the first WIP shots of the plastic Ork boy from Assault on Black Reach.

Lovely mini in my opinion far better than any previous plastics that come with the games.

Eiks! Where's his head!?!?

I've got these minis too, so I'll be intrigued (not being a 40k collector) how you paint these guys up. Nice start to green skin is that Snot Green with a lighter highlight?

Damn you Tim!

There's no point in me painting my Ork army now...

:P

What colours did you use for the skin? The highlight looks a bit like Scorpion Green.

I haven't quite got an even match on the green areas of skin from the first part I painted to the stuff I did today but hopefully I should be able to sort that out before it is finished.

Thanks guys, I want to give this ork a feel of being a loota after all he is a Deff Skull, so I have painted the armour plating as a miss match of different SM bitz, so far two pieces are Blood Angel and one piece is Imperial Fist though you can't quite see the logo as it is under his chin, I am going to weather them a bit more but they are near enough done which leaves me two pieces left to do which I will probably go for Space Wolf Grey,

The photo has washed out the final highlight on the pants also the angle it has been taken from doesn't help either as the mini is going to be viewed more from above when complete.

More done to the greenskin today, I have repainted the stikkbomb head since I took this photo as I was not happy with it, I am going to have to think about basing it pretty soon too.
