Post subject: | WOTR Rome V Celts at Warhammer World |
I went to Warhammer World this weekend and played a 2500pt game with Andrew (Rome). It was a most enjoyable game without all that mega-magic and OTT heroes but still took over 5 hours without conclusion, here's a few pics: Two pics of deployment. The armies close |

We have a PM system for that sort of thing, rather than hijacking a thread. And yes, there's a news item on the home page here. ... back on topic - brilliant display Dave! I can almost hear the roars and warcries of the two sides. I know you've been collecting Celts for a while, but are any of them the new Warlord Games or Wargames Factory figures? I was considering use their Celtic cavalry as Dunlending horsemen at some stage - either as conversions or just as they are. |

They are mainly Warlord Games but there poses are rather limited especially when you get a large % of 'weird' poses so I filled up the ranks with a box of Wargames Factory. With WF you get an infinite amount of otions but the quality is no where near as good, so combine the two and you get large unique formations. I've also got a lot of Black Tree Design, although larger, they still mix in well to give a rag-tag army but I won't be buying from them again as their delivery times are atrocious, we are talking several months here not a few weeks. Which armoured models? There are 3 makes of models on the table at least, here's the main supplier: http://www.warlordgames.co.uk/ although you can buy them cheaper from Wayalnd Games or Maelstrom games. |

They are a mix of Warlord Games and Black Tree Design, you only get 6 armoured nobles in the Warlord box set though. |
