Wind Rider 1 Wind Rider 2 Wind Rider 3 Some fantastic Eagle alternatives from German Game Zone miniatures. The riders are NOT moulded on, so they are perfect as proxies, if you like more than one pose. These will look fantastic alongside GW's Gwahir and Ebob's Eagle, so you can make full use of their power in WOTR. |

I like Number 2 a lot - the pose is fantastic - you can just imagine it coming after the Nazgul over the Black Gate. Great find! |

Those are sweet!! The second one is the best IMO. They are a bit expensive Though... over 20 Euros with postage, I never was keen on spending so much money on one mini, that's why I didn't buy GW Eagle |

Great find Sean! The first one is my favourite although I can't fault the other two. They remind me somewhat of the Mithril eagles that were available a long time ago. Hopefully the pound will pick up soon so 20 Euros won't seem like too much |

Those are very nice Sean! I picked up this one from GW after seeing it at the Chicago Games Day in 07. http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod800890&rootCatGameStyle= $20 (USD) and the size is perfect! It really is a very nice model! |

That Eagle also looks very nice Dave. We have, of course, the great miniature from the one and Only Ebob as well ... http://www.ebobminiatures.com/products/fantasy.htm#1 And then there is the Reaper Eagle .. http://www.reapermini.com/store/customer/product.php?productid=2144&cat=79&page=8 Coupled with Gw's Gwahir that makes 7 .. We just ened one more for an Even match with the Fellbeasts at the Black gate without Duplicates! |

Found the same without the riders - it saves you 3 euros. http://www.gamezoneminiatures.de/index.php/cat/c43_Elves.html |

Anybody wanting to buy Gamezone minis should be aware of this, although their models are indeed very well sculpted with lots of detail often they are very ill fitting and need alot of work with green stuff to get the gaps filled and matched up. I know this as I have a fair bit of GZ stuff and as yet have not actually dared to attempt the filling of the bad fitting parts. They are excellent miniatures but not for the faint hearted I would say. A good level of competence with green stuff is essential. |

Competence with green stuff required - that is very disappointing. Maybe their moulds are too flexible and that is where the deviations are coming from? |
