Okay, another situation I've run into. An enemy stands aloft an elevated platform within range of your bowmen. Your own mates are in front of you, but from 'eye level' you can argue that your bowman can 'see' the target unobscurred by your own men or anything else. Do you therefore have a clean shot or is there a rule about how far ahead your men must be in order to allow this to happen, or is it a situation by situation judgement call between the players? |

What you see is what you get. So you have a clean shot. |

Very good then, thanks. What about partially obscurred? If on the mini's level it can barely see above his mates head in front, is it still a clean shot? |

well in wotr once a formation is on an elevated position, such as a hill, it can be see over other formations and terrain and can be seen over other formations by other formations. so once it is on the hill then yes, you should be able to shoot it |

I wasn't aware of that, very interesting. Thanks for filling me in, ... as I said, I'm a new SBG player and not yet ready for WotR... a lot of my question comes down to the symantics of deciding what can be seen... the argument points that often get used by others, how much of the target counts as being in view... I assume there are situations that get brought up like this in games so thought I would ask. |

The rules say what can be seen, you only have to be able to see any part of the target except tail and wepons to shoot it with an in the way roll. |
