So I see alot of people bowing to a "33% blow limit" but I can't find it in the rulebook, I usually dont miss things like this, so can someone help me out finding it?

Also, with an army like Rohan, you get ROR who come with bows, but they can't use them if that puts you over the limit, yes? So how do you manage the 'bowless' riders? Well, let me put it this way:

your army is 6 ROR. 33% says 2 riders have bows. Do you just go "okay, so I'll just shoot twice this turn." or do you have to assign certain riders to be the ones with bows? And if that is the case, then if a rider assigned with a bow dies, can you now assign another rider to have a bow now (since they all come with them) or do you assume that since only 2 can use their bows the other 4 left them at home?

Thanks for your patience.

The bow limit is in Legions of Middle Earth (LoME), same as model limits at certain point costs. IMHO it's worth it for the scenarios.

For RoR (and for Rangers of Gondor, or Rangers of Arnor that aren't GC), the custom is to count only the ones posed as shooting as being able to use their bows. Makes them easy to identify. If they die, you can't transfer the shooting ability to a different model. Personally I try to make sure all my RoR and RoG can use their bows...I guess I don't like the idea of paying for equipment I don't get to use.

Also remember that the bow limit only applies to Warriors, Heroes can have as many bows as they want but with the Warriors only 1/3rd of them may have bows, rounding down.

And when i used to play ages ago it was simply the models that had a bow to hand that counted as being equipped with one, whatever the model was.

Thanks for the info. I too hate not getting bows I pay for, but then wondered if its a cheesy cap or a hard cap. Thanks.

In some games / tournaments / scenarios the limits can be different. I do recall a local GW tournament where they allowed up to a 50% bow limit, but they also employed a 50% Hero limit so it meant you had at least some Warrior and Hero balance.

The only hard limits in LoME are the model limits and bow limit on Warriors.

So I found another few questions to ask you vets :)

1) If lets say a galadhrim spearman... spearelf? (f5) Anyways, is supporting lets say a rohan soldier (f3) vs an uruk-hai soldier (f4) which fight value does good side use? is it the soldiers as he is fighting and only bieng supported by the elf, or does the elfs superior fight value take over?

2) let say a hero is shooting at a dwarf and needs a 6/4 to wound. He rolls a 5 and decides to use a might point to get it to 6, does the might point also help on the roll afterwards for the 4?

1) You use the model's fight value that is actually fighting, in your example, it would be 3 - the Warrior of Rohan's FV. On a similar note, if you have a hero with a spear that is supporting a normal warrior in combat (say a shaman with a spear, supporting an Uruk-hai warrior), you cannot use the hero's might to affect teh dice roll.

2) yes.

Essentially, the support model doesn't add his attack. He actually gives the model that is fighting +1A (like having two weapons, for example).

Yeah, so the model who is being supprted get's to attack with his strength for both attacks. Essentially the guy who is supporting is not in the fight and thus can be shot at without penalty and adds one attack to the statline of the guy he's supporting for that fight.
