Are their any miniatures that have a profile in the book, but don't have a miniature, thus unreleased?
And are their profiles for miniatures that are also in the WOTR book, like the beornings, stone giant etc.?

While I understand they want to hype the whitedwarf, some snippets of things to come and/or some teasers saying to keep our eyes on the WD for new releases would have been a little better than no news

There are a number of listings in LoME that were unreleased, but not in the OR I don't think. Models that were released during the "WotR period" got SBG profiles in White Dwarf, though I believe these profiles are now available in their respective sourcebooks. I don't have LoME or OR with me at the moment, but here is a list of profiles without models in the WotR rulebook, even though that wasn't part of your question:

Hurin and Wardens of the Keys, pg 103
Elfhelm, pg 114
Deorwine, Captain of the Royal Guard, pg 116
Quickbeam, pg 144
Beechbone, pg 144
Grimbeorn and Beornings, pg 148
Naurandir and Sulrandir, pg 148
Mordor Battering Ram, pg 158
Dunlending Horsemen, pg 175
Stone Giant, pg 184
Queen Beruthiel, pg 201
Barbarians of Carn Dum, pg 209
Werewolves, pg 210

Numenorian captains still don't have models. I assume there must be a few more like that.

True--I unintentionally skipped right past that in my search!

Yes, those miniatures, do they have rules in the new SBG books?
If not, I wouldn't hope much that they will be released.

I don't think any in the above list have an SBG profile. Some of these could be easily released with the Hobbit, others possibly never.

I added what I think will get added. If any of them are in the Hobbit movies, they'll be released, if they aren't, then I doubt they'll ever see the light of day.

As said before, GW will probably release the rules for them in a WD.
I really hope they do a good job on the hobbit, and that they won't remove a lot from the books.

How hard should it be to sculpt some miniatures?

From another post, which you may be interested in:

My friends and I have compiled a printable set of the Missing Profiles that we use for characters that are listed in WotR and LoME that do not have a currently existing profile. Several of them have mentioned that others in the SBG community might like to have this resource and print it off for their own use.

The profiles are those we have played with and feel are the most balanced - so use them at your own discretion.
