Hi all,
I have played each scenario in the EFGT starter set, and i'm currently trying to practice painting and paint up every model before i expand. My figures aren't that greatly painted, have only painted 10, but it's a start and i really think i can see some improvement comparing the last to the first model
Anywhooo, i would love to play point-match games. Unfortunately, i don't think it is fun to play without some "normal troops", and since the good side only get heroes it's hard to make a force with them, although i guess you could. The evil side, however, already has both heroes and troops in the set so they are good to go (i also bought the Trolls
)
I've always been a good fan of Gondor and Rohan, and seeing as they are part of the same source book, that might be a good place to start. So, how does one start? do i just pick up the sourcebook to get the points, buy some riders and soldiers and i'm good to go? can i both field, say Thorin and have him lead a band of Gondor warriors? Or does a warband of warriors have to be lead by the same faction? (Rohan riders being led by a Rohan hero, Gondor soldiers by a Gondor hero?).
