Hi, I am new to this website and I got in to the lord of the rings a few years ago. I was going to collect a Dunland army but I can only find Thrydan Wolfsbane as a hero, are there any others. Thanks for any help. |

You can still get the warriors with shield: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Du ... and-Shield Hopefully we’ll see them all return to the range at some point. |

I'm probably one of the bigger dunland players left in the hobby. You can still find the Dunland captain with the dunland banner bearer on ebay some what regularly. I suggest going to the company called Redbox who has a dark Viking line...I think that's what they called it. Anyways they are some neat models that can serve as proxy leaders or just warriors. Dunland is a great race to use if you enjoy battle companies. DCHL has some "lost profiles" and in there they have a profile for Dunland Hurscarls, a kinda royal guard of Dunland. Don't forget you can also use Wildman in your warbands. Redbox minis also has good proxy models for them. |

I believe GW only made the Thrydan, a warrior command, warrior blisters for two-handed axe, shield, and bow, as well a blister for the wildmen all told. I recommend trying Gripping Beast's Viking Herdsmen plastic box for Dunland warriors and their Dark Age warrior plastic box for the wildmen. If you are planning to do a bulk proxy Dunland army that is. |

The suggestions for Red Box mini's is an excellent one, they're fantastic mini's with some of the best sculpts in the business, in mu opinion. They are also closer to the GW LoTR scale than other companies ranges...they are metal though...if you prefer plastic, the Gripping Beast and Warlord Games guys offer some nice box sets of plastic, as mentioned above. There is also one other very good option coming out very soon, and that is a set of Plastic Northern Barbarians for the game called Frostgrave. You get 20 multi-pose miniatures with a variety of weapons and equipment in one box set. These are due out this coming November. Here is a pick of 3 mini's made up out of that box set, they'll be your usual 28mm scale, so will look ever so slightly bigger than a lot of the LoTR range; |
