Post subject: | Help with Halbarad |
Apologies if this has already been covered previously.... I had a quick look through through posts from the past but found little.... I would like to add Halbarad to my force but apart from paying silly money on EBay (415 of the queens pounds to purchase) I can’t uncover him anywhere....the Games Workshop site does not appear to have it... is there anywhere else I can pick one up? Second question/thought....could I get away with using Blackroot vale command model as Halbarad? I wouldn’t trust in my ability to convert models so I would be looking for a “plug and play” option. Am new to this amazing hobby so all suggestions great received! |

First question: which variant of Halbarad are you looking for, with banner or only with sword? If you want to use a blackroot Vale warrior as a proxy, you will have to check before game with your opponents or maybe with the tournament organisation if thats o.k. Should be no problem normally, especially if it's just a game with friends. Another idea for a possible proxy model: the old rangers of the north figures with helmets. They are of the same type and costume as Halbarad. They are also oop, so you will have to look for them at ebay. But they will be cheaper than the original Halbarad. Currently there are two Halbarads in the German ebay for about 25 EUR each. So maybe you could take a look on the European or international articles in ebay. |

Never even thought about checking different countries EBay pages! Many thanks for that suggestion! Would ideally be looking for the banner version as this seems to be effective addition! |

Rangers of the North are not OOP. There's one with a helmet and a spear held aloft, he'd be the easiest to convert. |
