Hi,
last weekend I played a game with my grandson (and lost , but that's not the reason for this post). We were unsure how to Interpret the rules in two Points:

1. The Balrog made a throwing attack with his whip against a rider, he hit the rider, but did not kill him. Then he pulled him into base contact for combat. When this happens, will the rider be separated from his horse? And if the horse ist hit, does the Balrog then pull only the horse? Or is it in every case the whole model which will get into the combat?

2. When a model is carrying a light object and wants to give it to another model, and the other model is moving into base contact with the carrier and has not used all his movement value for this action, has it to stop there in base contact to get the object? Or can it take the object and in the same turn continue his movement?

We decided these question by dice, but I would like to know how to play it in other games in the future.

As for 1, I believe you dismount. As for 2, have fun. If the rules say nothing, go for it.

1. The mount and rider are considered a single cavalry model. While a randomization role is made to see if the horse or the rider is hit and survives then the whole model would be drug into base contact.

2. Page 109 of the main rule book covers this. The model with the light object may move into contact with another model give it away before continuing its move. Models may not move into contact with the carrier and take the light object away. It must be given during the holding models move.

Now I know how to play it correctly, if these situations will occur again in some future games.

Especially the rules for giving an object to a friend seem to be very reasonable for me.
