Hi there!

I thought that they couldn't but I can't find any reference in the new Hobbit book. Is it true?

The same happens about supporting with spears to bigger based miniatures (e.g. A moria goblin supporting a troll lol!)

1) No, a transfixed spell caster can't cast spells. They cast them as part of their Move and so have to be free to Move.

2) Yes, under the Hobbit rules a model with a spear can support any friendly model. Your example is actually pretty tame, that same goblin can support a Mumak! :shock:
