Hello One Ring users, I was looking through the Kingdoms of Men source book and noticed that Minas Tirith Citadel Guard have the options for Horse, Bow and Spear Wargear. Obviously its possible for a model to have a bow on a horse as many units already have that combo, and its also possible to have a bow and a spear, like some Rangers of Gondor can have. What I was wondering is can you have the Citadel Guard on a horse with bow and spear, and have it able to provide spear support. I can't find anywhere in the spear section of rulebook to say that cavalry can't provide spear support, does anyone know if this has been FAQ'd? If it is possible, I want to do a warband of 6 KoMT with shields supported by 6 Citadel Guard Mounted with bow and spear. 3 Attacks on charge in total and Citadel Guard have fight 4 which gives a better chance against Uruk-Hai and Dwarves. I am skeptical about whether this would be possible because it seems a really good option for Minas Tirith armies but I don't think i've seen anyone use Mounted Citadel Guard before. Also the bow upgrade gives them S3 Longbows, another bonus. |

Unless they FAQ otherwise, you may spear support other models with mounted Citadel guard. |

You can also spear support a cavalry model with a foot model, so why shouldn't you be able to do this? I think all of that is silly, and my friends and I have house ruled that you can't do it. |

Yes you can do it, but no it isn't as effective as it seems on paper |
