Is a Khandish Chariot driver knocked off his chariot if struck by sourcerous blast?

My glimmering army of Minas tirith led by Gandalf faced up against the raving Khand today, headed by none other than the Khandish King.

Naturally, I wanted to blast him off his chariot as fast as possible, but my opponent was adamant the king couldn't be thrown of the chariot by a single sourcerous blast. I didn't protest at the time.

However, at pp. 189 in the Army book it is only the chariot which is mentioned regarding sourcerous blast, stating that it can't be knocked prone. Nothing about the driver though. So I'm inclined to believe he can be knocked off if he fails to resist it.

Who's correct?

The rider and the mount are counted as two entities for the purposes of targeting them with the spell but they are one model. To get the driver off the chariot the model must be knocked prone and a thrown rider test triggered or you'd have to hit the chariot with a panic steed from Radagast. The driver cannot be blasted off the chariot in the same way you could, say, blast a model off a tower or out of a doorway. The whole model with not be moved by the sell regardless of whether the driver or the chariot is targeted. The driver will take damage from it.

Hey,

Thank you for the response. Where did you find those rules?
