Does Khamul regain a will point from essence leach if he uses the strength of attack stat of the fell Beast?

I always assumed so, but I was reading a blog post, and the author stated that he does not.

I don't see why he wouldn't still get the will back. It is still Khamul that is doing the damage, just with his mounts strength value.

Thanks for the reply. Those are my thoughts exactly. I believe that it would be stated in the rules if he could not. like they did with the morgul blade Rule or khamul’s inability to change the stats on his mount.
