Having 10 haradrim raiders and Suladan mounted let me Seize The Prize with ease. A Fell Beast allowed me to get to the Prize just ahead of the enemy cav and tie them up long enough to Seize it. In yet another Seize, my Galadhrim Knights got there first, but with no Might bearing mounted hero that could keep up with them, (only Shadowfax could), they could not dig up the Prize in time, and were outnumbered by wargs. Cavalry is so powerful, and can be so fragile. Last week, Radagast demounted 4 of 5 Morgul Knights. A few Hobbit arrows made it past two rows of In The Way to score on horses behind.

I collect a rohan SBG army back in 2007 and had many games. I ended up just filling my whole points cost up of normal rohan warriors as i felt it was better to have the numbers. honestly i havent had a SBG game for a few years now, since wotr came out. But i remember thinking that cavarly were under powered and or overcosted. So my 15 or so riders wouldnt ever see a game becasue i found my self better with more warriors and throwing weapons.
anyone agree?

A fully mounted SBG army is very difficult to play well. When I first got started in SBG one of our best players used Rohan a lot. He was a very, very impressive player to face...great instincts and natural sense of tactics. He played the Rohan cav very well but when the entire army was cav it just wasn't solid enough and eventually lost to numbers. When he had about 1/3 - 1/2 of his points in cav (including his big heroes) and the rest of his points in normal warriors (including throwing spears and usually a Captain) he was far more effective.
