I was thinking about making a possible new systme for heros, this would be for all hero scenarios (ie, the fellowship) it would add in some extra thinking and take away allot of the luck, im really trying to find a good balance but ive come up with some ideas. This is really hard to explian so i will just give an example. Aragorn has 4 attacks and a fv of 7, he is charged by 4 moria goblins (fv 2) 2+2+2+2=8, aragorn uses 2 attacks to win the fight (7+7=14) and then with 2 attack left to wound. Aragorn rolls a d6 and gets a 4+his strength of 2, this is strength against the goblins defence 5 and so is able to strike 3 wounds (i will come up with a chart to determine this) and so 3 goblins are killed in this fight. *Edit* i forgot to mention that in my play a hero could chose to use no strikes to win the fight and then use all the strikes to use as wounds. Maybe you are grasping what i am getting at, it is just a fellowship system which allows heros to rack up allot of kills. Somthing like the cave troll will have a very high FV so it takes allot of heros to bring him down. If you think this is at all worthwile i will try and make a ballanced system, if it seems pointless then i will forget it. |

wow...it is a really good idea but LotR is built on simplicity, this is too complicated |

So what you're saying is, if I attack Aragorn with anything less than 14 goblins he'll automatically win the fight every time. And he'll automatically lose the fight if I do attack with 15 goblins? How exactly do you propose that I can attack with 15 goblins since the maximum is 12. |
