Again I wasn't sure where to put this but I guess I'll just dump it here. I don't know if anyone else has thought but maybe GamesWorkshop should start an online game. The point is that you would be able to play people online in exactly the same way as in real life. It would obviously not be quite as good but it would make a good option when players cannot phsically meet. It would work like this, you go down to a GamesWorkshop where you could by an account and "deposit" models in it. It would cost a bit of money to "deposit" models and once a model had been deposited then it would be stamped somewhere discrete so the staff would know it has been "deposited". Then you could use the deposited models for games across the internet. Just idea. Please comment. |

I had a similar idea. One of the main advantages would be that models would be a lot cheaper. But there's one big problem: dice rolls. The computer would have to roll the dice for you, which might provoke unfair results. |

I remember some people using some program to play online totally for free (you still need the rulebooks). It was called Vassals of the Ring or something like that. No idea how it works, but at least a few members here used to play through it. Might be worth a google search. |

There was also an Italian website that allowed you to simply plan your army out and then find an opponent and play, but I couldn;t get it to work properly (largely because I don't speak Italian and the translation option was lacklustre at best). |

Couldn't it have been translated into Quenya? |
