So turns out the spider queen is now a main character meaning you can't use more than 1. This is the UK tournament rule-ling and turns out the Oakland LOTR tourney i'm going to will rule the same as them I will miss my spider queen's so much. Limited only now to 1 *sniff sniff* |

Oh really? They are making the Spider Queen how it should have been in the first place, there is a reason why there is a THE in front of Spider Queen, so you can't have many THE Spider Queens. |

@ mathblablaba not important enough to remember the 5 year olds name. You should tell "THE" oh so many tournaments run who had spider queens that. LMAO Spider Queen armies had been run for years, guess you never caught on to that. Getting board of replying to you 5 year old. |

Getting board of replying to you 5 year old. Pretty sure that people have been saying "it says THE SQ" ever since people started taking multiples, and they have a point. In the made up lore for her it specifically mentions her singularly in all instances (never in plural) and states that she alone is the greatest of the spiders of the Tawar Duath... I also wouldn't mention age when you can't spell "bored". |

In Legions it says you CAN have more than one I believe it's a house rule from the UKGTs that US tourneys are adopting too. @coolest, I wasn't insinuating that you're a kid (though you seem to act like one). I was saying that I wouldn't insult other people and call them "5 year olds" if I, myself, couldn't punctuate or spell very well |

Well...that was kind of an overreaction... From what I understand, multiple Spider Queens in an army is generally considered power gaming and extremely cheesy, ecspecially since her profile seems undercosted for her statline. I wouldn't know personally, I've never played against one or with one. Its doubtful that the SBG will ever get another sourcebook again, so the imbalance of the Spider Queen can only be solved with a White Dwarf article or a house rule. Again, I have not played with or against the spider queen but based on my interpretation, it seems to be a just ruling. California... |

A little factual history on The Spider Queen. I playtested Fall of The Necromancer and the SQ appeared to be ok concerning points and effect, at no time did anybody querry as to whether you could take more than one as the book states 'The', just the same as the rules for The Balrog and there were no scenarios involving more than one SQ. Now it gets interesting as somebody somewhere did ask the question. The US website said it was a named hero and the UK one said it wasn't Next thing we know the UK GT was comming up and the UK site changed the FAQ to match the US and a GW employee took multiple SQ's and trounced everybody with them. After numerous complaints the UK events team decided to house-rule that SQ's are named heroes. LOME does NOT say you can take more than one, SQ's follow the same rules for named heroes (or not ) There is no exception to this rule for SQ's. So TSQ is not unbalanced if you play them as intended - singly. |

The FAQ for LOME says you can. Q19: https://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_Cu ... dition.pdf Still hosted on the GW website, uk one at least. |

Getting board of replying to you 5 year old. I had a glance through your posts. Seems you don't exactly get the point of asking for help. So, taking this whole thing down to the, as you seem to enjoy saying, "5-year-old" level, which I think that you should be able to understand. The point of asking for help is to RECIEVE ADVICE. You know, just like if you ask a question...guess what.... *extended drumroll* You'll get an ANSWER! I know, wtf, right? Amazing but true. I know it's a lot to process, but bear with me for a moment while I finish. If you don't like the answer someone gives, who cares? A simple "Thank you" would suffice even if you don't agree. I think you need to put yourself in Maermaethor's shoes, and be glad he hasn't gotten [word deleted] by now. If you've spent the last twenty minutes working on a reply in an attempt to help a dude who, in the past, has been an ungrateful jerk, the last thing you want to hear is them insulting you again...for TRYING TO HELP. So honestly, take your own advice and try to grow up a little bit. |

LMAO Spider Queen armies had been run for years, guess you never caught on to that. Getting board of replying to you 5 year old. Now your profile says that you live in America, so I will assume English is your first language. Your occupation says "Major Motion Pictures" which leads me to assume that you are an adult. This leads me to the conclusion that I can tell you that your spelling and grammar suck as an American adult who works for "Major Motion Pictures" should really be able to write properly and maybe act more like an adult than a 5 year old which you seem to accuse ME of being. Also I will point out that English is not my first language and I didn't know a word of it before the third grade, so if you are an American you really should speak English better than me. So to reply to the things you said. Quote: @ mathblablaba not important enough to remember the 5 year olds name. Don't want to be a grammar nazi but seriously, if you want to try and insult someone and still make yourself look intelligent, it would be helpful if you put a capital letter somewhere in there, maybe not at the very beginning, but at least somewhere. So my name which is hard for even you to pronounce let alone a 5 year old is a 5 year old's name, but "coolestguy" is not? Seriously? I laughed the first time I saw it and thought you meant it as a joke, but it seems now that you actually think you are the c00l3st guy evarrrr!!@!@!!1!111! I may also point out that Maermaethor is Sindarin which fits well here because this is a LotR website, so you are basically insulting Tolkien by saying that his language sounds like something a 5 year old made up. Quote: You should tell "THE" oh so many tournaments run who had spider queens that. LMAO Seriously, I don't even understand what you are saying here. It might make more sense if I added a "to" and some other words, switched the "run" and the "who" and other things you should be able to do yourself. "You should tell your "THE" thing to the oh so many tournaments who run the spider queen like that. LMAO" Now to comment on your comment: Yes you are right, I should tell it to all the tournaments, too bad I can't travel around the world telling it to everyone and I don't know their email addresses so I can't mail them. If you provide me addresses I will be more than happy to tell them. They are running it wrong according to the original Spider Queen in the Fall of the Necromancer who had a backstory and everything. Also, the LMAO doesn't help in displaying the fact that you do not act like a 5 year old. Quote: Spider Queen armies had been run for years, guess you never caught on to that. Actually I did. Did I ever state otherwise? I would like to congratulate you on correct spelling and grammar in this sentence, keep it up! Though an "I" would be useful before the "guess". Quote: OMG I CANT SPELL I MUST BE A KID OMG OMG OMG OMG YOU FOUND ME OUT
With these kinds of posts and this kind of attitude it will just be a matter of time before everyone thinks you are a kid. Better fix that stuff before everyone reads this. It was nice chatting to you coolestguy! I believe you have just been owned! Have a nice day! I look forward to more trolling on your part! Maermaethor. |

Maermaethor, you pwned that noob! I have no idea why coolestguy is being so arrogant on a site he just recently joined. Looking at all his posts, there is an evident vibe of superiority and excessive egotism. He has not posted since we "found out he was a kid." As cruel as it may sound, I hope this jerk doesn't come back. Is the Spider Queen any good if played as she is meant to be played? What about her vs Shelob? I don't know anything about them, I'm just curious. |

I hope thecoolestguy stays on the forums, and I hope we don't chase him away. This hobby isn't exactly mainstream and every person on here is an important part of our small-knit group. That being said, Left-coast arrogance is something this forum can do without. If he can't be more polite then maybe this supposedly "cool guy" should stick to making his "major motion pictures", which probably means filming porn or waiting tables. It's up to you coolguy, be cool, or forget about anyone responding to you with anything but contempt. I hope you choose the former.[/i] |
