What if models carrying banners don't count as one of the twelve models in a Hero's warband; a Hero can take the usual twelve warriors plus a banner bearer.

Thoughts?

Why? What issue will this solve?

I'm wondering if you did that would there be cost implications? The new rules make banners cost the same for everyone. If you changed it, maybe banners should then cost what they used to.

I think the disadvantage of having a banner (1 less fighting model) is more than made up by the banner rule

i would like it, it would certainly make a better looking formation IMO

with a Hero and 12 warriors i would often have 6 Warriors and 6 Spear support, looking like this:

S S S S S S

now with a banner in they could look like this

W W W H W W W
S S S B S S S

which might not make any difference in battle but i just think it looks better, and for a house rule, why not?
