No. A model in base contact with an enemy model must fight, he cannot chose not to fight, therefore he cannot make a shooting attack. |

A Corsair of Umbar (any model with throwing weapons) cannot throw his weapon when in base contact with an enemy model either. |

Last time I played a game, it was as half of Thorins company and Radagast in goblin town against the Great Goblin and his horde. Half my heroes were literally thrown to their deaths by the Great Goblin using his monsterous power attack hurl ability! |
