So when I get back home next week, I'm going to start work on a corsair ship and some longboats. I'm wondering if there's any ready made rules for fighting sea battles which are compatible with the Hobbit rules. I've heard there's some rules in the old hardback One Ring rulebook, but don't particularly want to spend money as I hear they're not very good. Anyway, any help is much appreciated. |

Pretty sure those are the only ones GW made for sea battles. Don't remember any other versions. Plus, I cant imagine the TOR rulebook will set you back too much. |

There was also some boat/river write ups in WD issues with a diagram of making a small boat. I don't have a scanner, but could probably find a friend that has one and email them. I would only use any of it as a guide and would then tweak a very good version yourself and make an article. |

I'd thought about creating rules myself, with rules to jog my mind. It'd be great if you could do that thanks. |

My friend and I have a match this Friday and I know he has a scanner, so I will hunt down all that I can find and have him scan it and send it to me then I will PM you. I also have the issues with all the WHF boats for different races, some are very cool, but they have a lot of how to build guides there if you want some of those too just let me know, give you some great idea's for ships outside the norm. |

Cool, thanks. Whatever you have would be great and useful. Send when you're ready, thanks (: |

I know of a old rulespack for this, here is a link to it. http://archive.today/Hhi7 |

If you can get hold of the out of print Legends of the High Seas, that had rules for ship to ship action and was based on the LOTR rules. |

The all at sea, its still there I found it a some other site which has deleted it now. I still want to have my own go at making some sailing rules, maybe a little more simple than all at sea. And maybe even make rules fit for a full sea only battle with some small islands. martijn |
