Time goes so quickly... It's been a month again since my last update... heh.

Thanks for the url Oldman Willow! Gives me good ideas!

Meanwhile I had made some progress on the creamy caves of Moria, with a different type of PU-foam...
Will take a pic some time soon and update this. Although, at the moment I can't find my interest back in actually finishing it (as usual with my projects)

Also sweet terror Gully is nearing it's final stage for the September painting challenge but will post it over there once done :-)

Right... I have some new plans now... try not to laugh ;)

I have so many random figures painted, but I can barely form a 500pt army with them from the existing lists in the supplement-books... Appart from all dwarven-armies and 1 little mordor army (including Sauron the Dark Lord who takes a huge part of the points)...

So now, my new goal is to paint specific figures so I can make some 500pt-warbands... Some of them only need 1 or 2 additional figures (like captains or standardbearers or shamans...), others need to get started from the beginning...
I'll probably start with an Orc-standard bearer and some goblin commands (drums, shaman, captains & Durburz) so I can get some more painted evilness on my shelves... I might add some prowlers aswell to get some variation in the goblin-army...

I still have in mind I promised to paint two dead guys, so I should at least get those two done by the end of the year...
And then I still have to finish the Willow Tree Giant and two GW-ents... and the Moria table-edge-scenery...

Other then this LOTR, I'm trying to get Warhammer 2000pts Empire and another 2000pts Tomb Kings painted (both tabletop quality, appart from the special things) and soon I'll have the Dreadfleet-box on my table aswell.
Meanwhile I might decide to paint another minotaur or three to add to my beastmen army... and sculpt some progress on a Neytiri-bust I once started... (but that's all for another part in the forum)

I want.. I want... I want...

Your Ent is excellent. The expanding foam worries me a tad as I have seen it flaking off in other applications. I like dense foam like the Knauf insulation.

It works ok in model rail road applications. Paint flakes off in chunks if it is handled. I stopped using it for terrain.I tried using a plaster bandage shell over the expanding foam. Did not work. The material is too flexible.
I like what you have done and i am very interested in what you come up with. 8)

Nice Job with the Willow Bart. Just out of interest did you read the painting tutorial on the MBM website at all when it came to the hanging lashes?

Thanks Dave, and yeah, I did read it... well, ... only after I got finished, heh.
I made a few small mistakes that you handled better in your article... I didn't put the lashes in the same direction, I'm more the messy type  and stupidly enough, I put them on a tissue instead of a non-water-absorbing underground... Of course, it absorbed half a bottle of paint, lol, but I do have a nice green and crispy tissue left now (maybe I could crumble it up into leaves...) :-)

I noticed the hanging lashes had become a lot more 'dried' over the years on my shelf, but it got easily fixed after dipping them into water...

Thanks DMS :-)

Meanwhile I'm working on some Moria dwellers... and I thought I'd give you an update of the background aswell...
Next step is to cut some pieces off before I cover it with plaster... (the background I mean, not the miniature :dizzy:

Very nice! 8) Are you going to use paper towels or plaster bandage?
I can not wait to see what you do with it. It makes me want to start more Moria terrain. 8)

The colors on the ruins are nice. 8) I hope I can resist starting something like your Morria back drop.
