The plates are too massive (too big).

Keeping a close eye on this. I look forward to seeing the finished, painted result, it's looking great so far :yay:

My Harad army has made very little progress unfortunately. But I have been able to have a long think about idea's to make it even better.

By the rate i'm going i'll be lucky if its finished by the end of the year. :P

I do not think I would try to change the figure. Incorporate the new idea in a new figure. Practice makes perfect.
I like your king figure. If your first few figures have turned out this well. It won't be long before people start asking you to spin some up for sale.

Thankyou :)

Guys, I have fixed up the feral uruk hai's skin, so it looks a bit better now. No pics though coz I'm having a few problems in getting the pics from my camera to the computer.
Done more on Burhdur and the shade as well.

Hey guys. Finally its the Holidays. I am over half way through year 12!
I have finally had the chance to get back to my model projects. I will hopefully get some more models painted to show you.

I am doing more work on Burhdur and the shade. Buhrdur is getting longer legs sculpted onto him now. The others were too short.

I live quite close to the Eureka miniatures shop (in melbourne Australia) and was given two free models by the guy there. I plan on using them for my lotr collection as they look perfect for it.
They will be Dunlendings.

Here they are.
Image

I want this guy to be Thrydan Wolfsbane. I will give him a massive double sided axe to hold in his right hand.
Image

This guys is gonna be just a Dunlending captain.

The funny thing is, the only models in my Dunland army will be these two guys.

I also bought some Procreate. This stuff is awesome. Better than Greenstuff in my opinion.

They are the best alternative Dunlending sculpts I've seen in my time in the Hobby. Very nice find.

Do they have an online shop that I can get these from by any chance?

I think there is.

These guys come from the dark ages range. The big guy is Beowulf and the other guy is one of his retinue.

They are cheap very cheap too. (when compared with GW)

Here is the Eureka miniatures site. http://www.eurekamin.com.au/

Just go to browse (somewhere up the top). You'll then find a list of different brands supplied at the store. I think the best is the Eureka brand. So click the horned helmet with eyes and you'll go to a page listing the different types of scale miniatures. Obviously you will want the 28 mm ranges. So click on that.

You will then find yourself on this page http://eurekamin.com.au/index.php?cPath=87_126&sort=3a, listing the types of models they have. Its good to have a look around and see what you may like.
Click on the dark ages range and you will see a variety of Beowulf and his retinue. (including some older warrior models).

They are good models. A lot of them look like Rohirrim. I plan on getting a few of them and using them for Rohan heroes and stuff.

This is in Australia so postage for many people may not be cheap, however, the models themselves are quite cheap so it evens out.

Beowulf looks good. I'm looking forwards to seeing how he turns out as well as what you've done on Burhdur and the shade.
