Aragorn's face has so much attitude, great job! I bought some of those plastic spiders too, not bad sculpts for the price and impossible to break the legs off of. Legolas' cloak looks great too.

Thanks for the feedback! Danasdfgh, Tom is definitely a fun mini to paint! And GreatKhanArtist, I am certainly thinking of picking up more of the spiders and making a nasty Evil force based around them, maybe with some Warg Riders, Spectres, and a Necromancer or Wraith in there!

Finished up Gil-Galad the other day - I decided to give him some Sindarin flourishes on the edge of the robes. Quite happy with how he turned out, even if the super close ups are less than forgiving!

I've nearly now finished a Rohan fort that I've been working on for a while. The goal eventually is to have enough buildings for a small Rohirrim town... meaning I have a lot more houses and stables to work on. This building was meant to be usable as either a fortified armoury or a standalone border fort. I aimed to make the structure look oddly shaped enough that it could plausibly have been constructed over a period of years, with towers or bastions added on by different generations of warriors. The base still needs to have bricks carved into it, and the roof thatching needs more work, but it is fairly close to completion. Some weapons and flags laying about would bring it to life pretty well I think. Comments welcome!

Still need to make a ladder for that guard tower...

The roof is removable for a fully playable interior.

Finally, a Legolas I finished recently.

Thanks for looking! Feedback is very welcome. :gandalf:

Looks really good. I like that you've broken up what could be a rather dull shape for the fort with the turrets and the watchtower. My only negative comment at this point is the door - it seems off kilter and rather plain.

Also, if you want to give it a try, you could try to carve some bsic designs into the main beams. Might add a bit of variety to the woodwork.

All around, very nice indeed.

Thanks for the feedback! Quick update - I've finished the thatch, added some shading/highlights, a door knocker and a ladder. Gangleri - well spotted on the door. It is actually hinged on a piece of fabric, so in the first shots it was rather off. Hopefully it is a bit better now! I am now waiting to get some banners printed, and I will try adding a few of those for some variety before I try painting or carving some of the beams. This one is very close to being called done - and then on to some more houses, and maybe a stable and forge.

An overall shot:

The door is much better now, as is the thatch. Looking really good all around.

Hey all, I've made a fair bit of progress since I last posted. Thanks for the feedback on the fort. I have recently finished a stone base to set the small Rohan hall or the fort upon as a more impressive foundation. The photo quality here is lacking, but you'll get the idea.

Some of the figures I've painted up are here too.

I finished the Helm's Deep Aragorn, and also the old mounted one, though I couldn't get any decent photos of him.

Three Sons of Eorl. The guy with the lowered axe has a TERRIBLY sculpted head, but I persevered. Note the mould line across the face of the other sculpt, too. All in all, really cool looking models, though I will probably be running them as Royal Guards with axes in the new rules.

The shadows are bad in this shot, but some Clansmen of Lamedon. Tartan is a fun challenge, once I got up the courage to start to paint it!

And finally, a better shot of the Eowyn I posted earlier.

Thanks for looking!

I really like your Eowyn, the face is very good and I like the alternate colour scheme too, also well shaded. Golly that's a big sword!

Thanks for the comment Goblin Town Crier!

Finished up the Rohan display board recently, and I've made some serious progress on a lot of Rohan models I picked up. Royal Guards, a repaint of Theoden, and a redo on Gandalf the White. Enjoy!
