This is looking great as always with your projects! The troll I especially love. Looking forward to seeing how you finish this one off Gandlaf.

I'm having issues uploading photos from my MacBook so these are just quick photos from my iPad. Anyway, I hope you get the idea.

Looking incredible, the rock base gives it a real sense of purpose, look forward to seeing more

Fantastic!!! :) You have accomplished a wonderful sense of realism and I love the way the eagle is descending on top of the troll. Very clever. Base is great too and the texture and work on the rock is very impressive. I'm looking forward to seeing more in depth photos.

Once again very well done! :yay:

Thanks very much for your feedback, as always I m humbled.
i had a few issues, in particular when the eagle snapped off at the ankles, that caused me a few headaches !!!

The painting is superb and the project really comes together well. So much open ground on the piece, plans for additions?
Well congratulations on finishing, I will be awaiting your next project.

That Eagle looks really spectacular, it has the perfect pose too... Love the whole Diorama...

I agree with Sithious, the painting is splendid and the scene itself very dynamic. Though, there's a lot of "empty" room, that could be filled with some kind of detail.. at the moment it looks a bit like a duel in the desert :)

Really a splendid diorama Gandlaf, congratulations! 8)

I've never seen such a good plastic troll before, extremely good painting! On the other miniatures, too, for sure...

Though I agree with the others, some other miniatures would be very good. I know you thought about it and decided not to do it because they could disturb the viewer. But some nice metal orcs fighting againt osgiliath veterans and rohan royal guard...

Thanks for all the comments.
Maybe I went a touch large on the base and if I had the time I would add several other figures, but time is something I lack, unfortunately.
Who knows what the future holds and maybe I will get a chance to re visit this.

The two long sides look straight, so you could always extend the diorama with additional fighters to either side, without having to alter the great looking existing piece (one can imagine they keep some distance from the lumbering troll).
