For those who followed this fig's progression in the "help with miniature figures" forum, I finally was able to finish the sculpting aspect of the model. I believe his pose worked out splendidly. Now i just have to get him based and painted up!

Just use the Image tags.

See the box that says 'Img'?

Highlight the link and click that, or just type them out.

You will need to upload your pics to photobucket or some other webhosting site first though.

well.... were to begin. I have fallen on substatial finacial problems over night, and all of a sudden complete family crisis... unfortunately i will be unable to finish the model for several weeks at the soonest and even that looks bleak... hopfully when or if there is a light at the end of this tunnel, i will be able to continue... just didnt want you all to wait at your computer monitors dieing to see him completed :-D again thanks for the great feedback!

WOW! Nice conversion! I really like the figure, and the end result looks great. Where is the head from?

Great conversion and great painting. I really like the worn and not so metallic look on the armour. Would mind sharing how you did it.

His right arm looks a little big strange but it doesn't change the fact that your minis are great :D

well thanks Knight, the head is actually from the lord of the ring conversion spruce that gw released and discontinued a while back, in fact it was the face that had the eye patch which i removed... at the time i originally began this conversion, the gw beregond was not orderable...

Never! i will never divulge such information! :-D

What i was looking for was a more realistic color scheme for the guard and not resort to NMM, how i came about it was painting bolt gun metal over the armor leaving black lines between the detail, then heavily highlighted with Mithril Silver... after which i mixed codex gray and black together to make a dark gray. then i made it into a wash and washed it over the entire armor surface. this gave it a less "toaster shinny" look to them and also gave a blended look at the same time...
