This thing took me ages to finish! But it's nice to be done it. The problem now is, how do I store the thing?!?! :)

I found that the best way to get bright flames on the black figure was to prime the flame parts white first.

The thing took forever to build and fill all the bloody gaps!

Thanks

I wouldn't buy a balrog because my paint job would suck and then I would feel like I wasted $50 :(

That looks awesome. The problem is that it has wings.

What an amazing job! You painted that thing flawlessly! Did you buy it a while ago, or did you snag it on eBay?

Thanks guys!

Alas, I bought that one about 5.5 years ago when it was pretty new... does GW not sell them anymore? It's all plastic now I guess eh?

Thanks

Nice work. I have one of these built and primed somewhere. I am pleased you painted the fire correctly. Niggles me when people get it backwards.

Very nice, especially the flames on the back. In regards to storing the creature, I custom made a large box out of extremely thick cardboard (1/4 inch) and packing tape with enough spots for the Balrog, Fell beasts, and Eagles. Like you, I had a difficult time finding the box to fit the large monsters then decided to make my own.

One of the best Balrog's I have ever seen! Fantastic work. The flames worked a treat with white primer. SHould have done that with mine.

That looks sick man! I like how dark you've made the skin; it really contrasts well with the fire and red cracks. Could you link the picture in the background as well, or say where you found it? I've been looking for something like that online for ages to go around my game board and that picture would be perfect! Again, excellent work!
