Here's the Dweller in the Deep I just finished as part of the Moria force I'm painting. I copied the colours from the Balrog for the fur around its head as i quite like the baby Balrog look, but the Finecast ankles are a bit thin and making it lean forward more than i think it should. I made the rest of the base out of plastic card to match in with the base that come with it and disguised the different heights with bits of static grass. what are your thoughts?

The painting is nice, but it's hard to imagine that there would be any grass next to a "fire demon".

That forward lean looks bad, but on the bright side it could save you from a couple of arrows.

It looks well painted and I think it has a nice lunging look. I'm not yet sure about my feelings with the concept / profile but that's a personal issue.

I think it looks great although i would be hugely tempted to drill through the base and into th feet and legs and put a large pin or bit of thick wire up into the legs to strengthen them - i would hate to see such a wonderful model go to waste due to inefficient materials.

Good job - looks great

I'm not disputing that but after the horror story in another thread of an overly warm finecast dweller collapsing on its face strenghthening his legs might help prevent this.
